Vanguard sliding door handle with single point lock

The lock on our sliding door has stopped working, Unfortunately to replace it, I have to identify it. I originally thought it was the C 1308 you reference on your site, but on closer inspection the C 1038 has two hooks that lock into place where our door only has one. I’m including a couple pictures. Do you recognize the handle/lock? If you can point me in the right direction for replacing or repairing it, I’d be very grateful! Thank you.

Hi Sara;

You have a right hand Vanguard handle with a Prime-Line E2014 lock.

Most of the Vanguard handle installations I come across use multi-point mortise locks but there is no reason the same handle cant be used to operate a single point lock

First make sure the thumbturn in your handle is not broken. There is a plastic link behind the knob that is very fragile and it breaks if the thumbturn knob is twisted with too much force.

If the plastic piece is still ok, try sticking a small screwdriver blade into the slot in the side of the lock and see if the lock will operate.

The E2014 lock has a small spring inside which often comes loose stopping the lock from operating.

I uploaded a picture to show the plastic cam that breaks and with an E2014 lock installed

I have replacement handles and replacement E2014 locks if you are unable to find them locally
