Worthless spring lock clip

Hi, I have a Larson screen-away door in which the top glass sash slides up and down. The problem is that it won’t stay in the up position, even though there is a sash spring lock mechanism on the top of the bottom sash. I have replaced the spring lock clip mechanism and it still slips down. This is a problem in our cold winter climate here in Chicago. Anyone have a fix for this? I have attached a photo of the spring lock clip that fails constantly. Thanks. Marc
