Round spline wont go in square hole

I have changed out window screens in the past but, this one is giving me a very tough time! I was unaware that there was a 'flat' spline... Is that what I need here? Because it's really hard to push round 0.220 into this space,although opening measures 3/16.. damaged the screen twice now..stopped...found you and am hoping you have the answer for me!! Thank you in advance!

Thanks for the great pictures!

Looks like that frame was designed for T shaped spline probably 0.215 inches wide.

Round spline will never stay in because the groove just is not deep enough.

I have the 0.215 T spline on my spline page it should do the trick
