Hi Marissa; This is a Prime-Line 1148-8 removeable faceplate mortise lock. These locks are used in Vinyl and wood patio doors where you need larger screws spaced further apart to hold the lock on

You can sometimes find these locks in Home Depot but if you cant I have them in stock

My sliding glass door won't lock - it appears the handle/lock mechanism is broken. Looks like a piece of the key that holds the handle on the lock itself is busted off.

I am able to lock it using a lock on the track/bottom of the door, but I do want to fix this.

I can't tell if I have a 45 degree or vertical key. It looks like it is horizontal (?) when it is locked. Also do not know the brand of the door.

Any ideas? I'd like to try to fix this myself rather than call someone.

Pictures attached.
