E2014 Patio door lock with escutcheon plate missing

My sliding door latch will not lock. Is something missing here!? I’m really confused and wonder if it all needs replaced?

The part you are missing is called an escutcheon plate and it normally comes complete with the lock, its not sold separately.

There are two locks with different lengths of escutcheon plates. I cant tell from the photo what length yours is

There is also Prime Line E-2565 which has longer plate. That one is not available on Amazon at the time of writing this
