My Screen Door track is weird

I have a screen door opening that i am trying to replace but there is no screen door there now it was gone when we got the house.

Now the bottom track looks normal but the top track looks like it is on upside down or something.

The part where I assume would need to have a track like you show on your website is flat and has a lip but it is facing up on top.

The only thing I can think of is that this door had some kind of top roller like a bypass or barn door that kept it on track on the top.

Do you have any insight into what I am dealing with?

Hi Kevin;

Sounds like your patio slider had a top hung screen door at one time.

Top hung screen doors have rollers that hang on a rail at the top.

I also have a top hung track

We rent an older house that has an aluminum framed slider. It had a screen but it was constantly falling off and let bugs in. We simply kept it closed all the time for the air. I assumed that the screen door was too small but I bought a replacement screen and realized when trying to install it that it is a top hung and the roller wheel was just resting on the outside edge of the track. Can I change out the rollers on the screen door? Do I have to replace the track? I haven’t seen any screen doors that have top hung rollers. Please help! I rent and really don’t want to spend more money than I already have
