Copper screen with free creases

i want to replace the copper screen in my wood porch door. birds have slammed into it many times over the past 15 yrs. anyway, the hardware store had some but it has some creases, so they gave it to me for no charge! well, the question is; can one minimize or 'iron out' minor creases in copper screening?

Awesome find !

Copper screen cloth is expensive and getting some for free is a real bonus

I would find a couple of nice flat pieces of plywood big enough to cover the creases then clamp them together with the copper cloth in between. Then hammer on the plywood if necessary to smooth out the cloth.

Two thick collapsible work tables with particle board laminate tops work good too. Just flip one top of the other table top to table top.

Even a heavy rolling pin would work or a smooth round heavy steel bar
