We replaced a sliding screen door at home. The old one was top hung but the new door is not Is there a way to convert the door to be top hun to use the existing track?

The first thing you need to do is get a plumb line and hang it so the the plumb bob is centered over the bottom track.

Wherever the the top of the line for the plumb bob ends up take a picture of that are so I can see how much room you have to install a new top track

If the plumb bob line ends up far enough behind the existing top hung track there might be enough room to screw a new top track right into the patio door header frame

You might have to use one of my aluminum angles if there is no room for my normal 1 inch wide top track

Pictures of the existing top hung track with an extended tape measure in the picture will be helpful because they will tell us how much clearance is available.
