1960s? Screen Door Spline

by Robert A

I am trying to replace the screen of my front door. The screen is held in place with a rigid plastic like material. Ripped out some of it, not knowing that I should have probably attempted to salvage and reuse it. Well, too late for that.

I may be able to reuse some of it, but will need at least 1 - 7' length and 1 - 3' length.

See photos.

Thanks Richard

This spline does keep appearing in peoples comments but so far I have not found a supplier

In the past I have used grey pvc glazing vinyl of the same width or close as a replacement. Its not perfect but it can work

You might find some of that at a local glass shop just take your sample with you and lay it on top of their glazing vinyl until you find a match in the width

Glazing vinyl has pointed edges which compress a bit so you can go a little bit wider.

If you have no luck contact at the email address on the bottom of the home page of fixingscreens.com and I will see if I have glazing vinyl lying around that matches your dimensions
