1960s? Screen Door Spline

In the process of refinishing my front door and aluminum storm / screen door.

Screen door has a rigid (but somewhat pliable) spline. May be vinyl? It is essentially flat with 2 vertical tabs. When pressed into place it forms into a 1/4" wide metal frame.

Looking for a replacement rigid spline (for at least 12 ft in length, as I may be able to salvage the other 2 sides). In all, 24 feet would be enough.

Also looking for guidance on how this type of spline is installed?

Thank you!

Thanks for the great pictures

This spline was specially made by the company to make it difficult to buy anywhere else but the original manufacturer

In cases like this I have had some success using grey pvc glazing vinyl that is similar in size.

There is also flat spline that is worth trying but it doesnt have the sharper edges that the glazing vinyl has

Take your sample to a local glass shop and see if they have glazing vinyl close to the size
