Mortise Lock Size

I'm having a hard time finding a replacement mortise lock for my sliding glass door. The door is old (60's installation most likely) and my main problem is that when I tried to take the old lock out of the door, it fell inside the door so I have nothing to measure!

I tried the E 2013/E 2014 and they are too tall. The lock was definately oval in shape but the 3 11/16 screw holes are taller than what I need.

Any ideas which one I need?

Angle it in
by: Anonymous

This door usually uses an E2014 although either should work since your lever spins 360 degrees.. The lock needs to be angled in. Grab the hook with vice-grip pliers. For extra safety, insert a screw or screwdriver into the bottom screw hole. Tilt the lock and insert one end at a time. once the whole lock is inside the frame, bring it back in line with the hole.
