i have a customer who cant get the clips holding up the glass part of his storm door to pull to close the screen, seems they are jammed...any ideas?
The panel clips usually get jammed in place because they get bent
Start by looking underneath the movable sash, there should be a small hole directly underneath the panel clip location
Stick an awl or pin into the hole to try to push the nub that clips into the hole by spring pressure.
You should be able to move the panel clip over once the nub comes loose but if its bent it may be difficult. Sometimes I have to lever on the end of the clip where it sits in the holes in the door
Metal clips are not too bad, they usually just break but plastic clips bend and jam themselves into the slots in the door frame.
Sometimes they can be a fight but eventually they come loose.
