The top portion where screen door is supposed to slide is made of wood. The wood is deteriorating after use and screen door doesn't stay on. What are my options? Do I have to somehow remove the wood part, or can I buy a piece that slips over it? Thank you!

If the wooden casing at the top of the door is rotten then that needs to be fixed before trying to install a screen door track.
You need something solid to screw the track on
