My dog jumped on the neighbors screen door and "dented" the brace bar. I think that is what it is: it is in the center of the screen door about 1" wide and the width of the screen. It's purpose is to prevent damage to the screen if it is pushed.
This white aluminum piece is not "dog proof". I can't replace the door - it is a Cole Sewell storm door that Home Depot handled years ago and they have been discontinued. Any hope for me?
