Dont reuse old spline when using Petscreen

I put pet screen in and it was brutal . I reused the old splining . I think I have the 1/8 splining and did not see any smaller size at hardware store.Is there a size smaller than an 1/8? Thanks for any answer you can give me .


The smallest spline I can get is .120 and that is pretty much the same as 1/8" diameter.

Usually screen doors do not use spline smaller than .160 diameter but its possible you have a door that uses something special
